Impecuniosity Assessment Tool

Proving impecuniosity is often the difference between recovering at credit hire rates or being reduced to BHR. This tool applies the established Lagden v O'Connor [2003] UKHL 64 criteria to real bank statement data - securely and automatically.

PII is redacted before processing. Results are colour-coded and formatted for professional use.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the claimant's bank statement

Drop a PDF or image of the bank statement into the tool. Supported formats include PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, and WebP - with automatic OCR for scanned documents.

  2. 2

    PII is automatically redacted

Before any AI processing, sensitive data - card numbers, sort codes, account numbers - is masked by the PII protection layer. Transaction figures are preserved for analysis.

  3. 3

AI applies the 12-step Lagden v O'Connor test

The engine evaluates the statement against the established impecuniosity criteria: available balance, credit facilities, spending patterns, income consistency, vehicle-running costs (fuel, EV charging, insurance, finance, car wash), disclosure coverage gaps, and overall financial position.

  4. 4

    Receive a colour-coded assessment

Results are graded as Strong (green), Moderate (amber), or Weak (red) with a detailed narrative explaining each finding - ready for inclusion in your file or court submissions.
